Where to eat… Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour, London

https://mr-foggs.com/gin-parlour/

Afternoon tea is great. Tea, sandwiches, scones and cake – whats not to love?

This afternoon tea is a little different. Instead of tea, you get delicious gin cocktails, including a welcome Gin & Tonic, and two tasters.

When it came to the food it wasn’t. I informed them that there was going to be a vegetarian in the party a few weeks beforehand, so they had prepared a special tray of vegetarian sandwiches (although it had to be shared between two).

The sandwiches were:

  • Cheese and Onion
  • Cheese and Cucumber
  • Cheese and Pickle

So you better like cheese. Not great if you are vegan, or just happen to not be in the mood for cheese. It was obvious that the sandwiches had been made several hours in advance as the bread was getting crispy around the edges.

So, in conclusion, great gin, poor food.
