Now, there are different restaurants at the Compleat Angler; the Riverside Restaurant, Walton Bar and Lounge, and Sindhu by Atul Kochhar. This is a review of its Afternoon Tea, which is normally served in its restaurant, although we were lucky enough to have it as room service.
Ordering Afternoon Tea for two, with one being vegetarian, we were brought two three-tier trays, complete with sandwiches, fresh scones with cream and jam, and cakes, without any fuss at all.
All the cakes were vegetarian, and I was given a complete tray of vegetarian sandwiches: Cheese and Pickle, Cream Cheese and Cucumber, Egg Mayo and Tomato and Lettuce. All of which were delicious, and freshly made.
The cakes were also amazing, with the Red Velvet Cake being called the ‘best Red Velvet Cake he had ever eaten’ by my boyfriend.
The service was also outstanding, and they could not have done more for us – special thanks go to Ellie, who assisted with all requirements during our stay.
This Afternoon Tea was worlds apart from the food at Mr Foggs, which I reviewed earlier in the year.
