A burger joint isn’t the obvious choice for a vegetarian, but Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) is different. They have a selection of special vegetarian burgers (see below), but you can also swap any burger for a veggie patty, meaning the menu is all yours.
Here are the vegetarian options:
-
CALIFORNIAN – Homemade & pan-fried bean patty, mature Cheddar, avocado, smoked chilli mayo, crispy onions, relish, salad
-
JOHNNY BE GOAT – Bourbon glazed & grilled field mushroom, whipped goat’s cheese, house onion ring, garlic mayo, piquillo pepper, rocket, pickled onions
-
FALAFEL – Handmade falafels, beetroot & mint hummus, tahina sauce, sriracha sauce, rocket, pickled onions
-
DIPPY HIPPY – Homemade & pan-fried bean patty, beetroot & mint hummus, avocado, piquillo pepper, salad, relish, sourdough bun (VEGAN)
Plus a selection of sides, including fries and coleslaw.
The burgers are really good too. I had the Californian, which was nice and moist, and some skinny fries on the side. The ‘fresh & fizzy’ drink also have unlimited refills, which is an added bonus.
Overall, not bad at all. There are even vegan options!
