I hadn’t heard of The Pudding Stop, until a friend suggested we have brunch there in St Albans.
Essentially, it is cake for breakfast. There are savory options – not a huge amount for vegetarians:
- Buttermilk Pancakes
- Brioche French Toast
- St Albans Granola
- Unlimited Hot Buttered Sourdough Toast
Other than that, there is a large selection of different cakes, and these vary slightly day to day. The blondie was recommended to me, but they didn’t have any when we went.
Getting into the spirit of things, i had a Bakewell Tart and a Salted Caramel Milkshake. I had mine with almond milk, but then they add ice cream to it, so i don’t think it is possible to have a dairy free option.
Overall, not bad, but you have to have a sweet tooth!
